Wolfgang Clement (Chairman of the Supervisory Board)

Wolfgang Clement (born in 1940) has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG since 2008. From 1989 to 1998 he was secretary of state and head of the state Chancellery of Germany’s federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia; minister for special tasks, and minister for the economy, mid-sized businesses and transport. From 1998 to 2002 he was governor of North Rhine Westphalia before serving as federal minster for the economy and labour from 2002 to 2005.

Wolfgang Clement studied law while concurrently completing a newspaper trainee programme, passing the first state examination for law at the State Superior Court in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia, in 1965. He subsequently worked as an articled clerk and assistant at the Institute for Trial Law at the University of Marburg. In 1968 to returned to journalism, first as a political writer, then as editor for the political section of the Westfälische Rundschau newspaper in Dortmund. From 1986 to 1989 he was editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Morgenpost.

From 1981 to 1986, Wolfgang Clement was spokesman for the Social Democratic Party’s (SPD) federal executive board; he also served as deputy federal party whip from 1985 to 1986.

In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG since 2008, Wolfgang Clement is also a member of various other statutory supervisory boards. You can find an overview in the appendix to the annual and semi-annual financial reports.

Wolfgang Clement has been appointed by the company’s annual general meeting of august 30th, 2017 for a term that will run until the end of the annual general meeting that will vote on the discharge of the members of the supervisory board for their actions during the 2021 fiscal year.

Joachim Rumstadt

Joachim Rumstadt (born in 1965) has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG since 2008. He holds a law degree from the University of Heidelberg and passed the second state examination for law after two years of in-service legal training.

He then worked for two years as a lecturer in international and European law at the research institute of the German University for Administrative Sciences in Speyer.

Joachim Rumstadt joined STEAG as in-house counsel in 1997. He was named a member of the company’s Management Board in 2007, having previously been in charge of developing the company’s business units as well as running operations for its Power division.

Joachim Rumstadt has been CEO of STEAG GmbH since 2009; his portfolio includes the company’s shareholdings in international power plants as well as Corporate Development, Energy Policy and Legal. He also represents STEAG in German and international associations and institutions.

In addition to being a member of the Supervisory Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG since 2012, Joachim Rumstadt has been serving on similar statutory supervisory bodies for various German and international companies. Wolfgang Quecke

Wolfgang Quecke (born in 1954) has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG since 2001. After studying mining at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technical University Aachen, he worked as a mine deputy starting in 1980.

From 1984 on, the certified mining engineer helped set up the logistics department at BASF’s Auguste Viktoria mine in Marl, Germany where he was head of underground operations from 1988 to 1994. Between 1995 and 2000, Wolfgang Quecke worked as head of operations for several mines owned by RAG (today known as Evonik) as well as Deutsche Steinkohle AG (DSK).

In 2001 he was named director of operations for the remediation of Deutsche Steinkohle AG’s mining sites, a position he held until 2005. He subsequently served as a member of the Management Board of Montan-Grundstücksgesellschaft mbH (MGG/Montan Property Dvelopment Company) until 2008. In 2009 he opened his own engineering office, which provides consulting, planning and development services for the environmental technologies, renewable energy and real estate sectors.

Wolfgang Quecke is not a member of similar statutory supervisory bodies for other German or international companies. You can find an overview in the appendix to the annual and semi-annual financial reports.
